Hi Molly,
I'm an undergraduate student in the UK, and study film/philosophy from the
film side of things. A good basic book to start with is Philosophy Goes to
the Movies by Christopher Falzon. It gives an overview of how film has
explored various philosophies. Hope this is of some help.
