welcome guys.
as an american filmaker working in low tech inexpensive
media on fringe themes i welcome you.
i add a bit of discussion of deleuze and anarchist
theory a la emma golman. i am interested in making a
short video aboutthe red scare of 1919 and adding
surrelaist elements and out-of-time sections to make it
about 21st century schizoid america...i think an
understanding of deleuze is hard to get -- but a little
goes a long way. i utterly recommend capitalism and
schizophrneia by deleuze and guattari -- as well as a
thousand plateaus.
also good is spike lees diary of how the film 'do the
rught thing' was made by maxing out credit cards and
going into debt. kevin smith used that technique too to
vault out of obscurity into semiluaded status. i am
going for something a little more deeply 'fringe' but
its a concept.
some say art and industry must merge but that almost
always takes the fun/inspiration out of it to me.
