Andrew Duncan will be giving the 2005 G.S.Fraser memorial lecture at the Leicester College of Adult Education on Wellington St on
Friday May the 13th at 7.30 pm. Tickets £3.50/ £2.50 concessions. The address will be on 'What is the object-machine? A journey to
the New Romantic landscape'. A tour of Duncan Thompson, Francis Berry, JF Hendry, Lynette Roberts, Peter Yates and others arguing
their cause.
I know that there aren't many people on this list within striking distance of Leicester on a Friday evening but I thought I'd
mention it.
The event is happening, like a lot of other things that crop up here, through the suggestion and offices of someone with an
identical name to me who apparently never does anything positive but just bitches. H'm. Other persons who have given readings in
this area in recent years because of that person's negative habits have included Geraldine Monk and Alison Croggon. H'm.
Off now to moulder in festering hate and self-pity.
Hope this offends someone. The talk will be well worth the attending.
Love
Dave
