I'm doing some investigations of off-site storage options, as the Wellcome Library is in the middle of a complicated series of stack moves and this may be an option later on in the process. Would anyone who's made use, or currently makes use, of an off-site storage service be prepared to let me know who you use? Any feedback would also be welcome. What we're interested in is:
- standard of storage space (we are keen to get BS5454 compliance if possible)
- retrieval services offered - speed, frequency and also detail (eg can it be specific files or is it at box level)
- cost (of course)
We're London-based but of course the storage doesn't have to be, provided that the material could get back to us reasonably swiftly.
Any information gratefully received!
Thanks,
Chris Hilton
