Deat Colleagues,
Over the last few years I have become aware of about half a dozen
probable heterophile Ab causes of false positive troponin results. These
have been positive on the Abbotts AxSYM (old or new assays) and negative
on other TnI assays or TnT assays; or positive on Elecsys TnT assays and
negative by TnI. DOes anyone know any references to the frequency of
heterophile Ab interference in modern troponin assays?
Thanks,
Graham
