ACLAIIR Annual General Meeting, Wednesday 06 July 2005.
Non-members of ACLAIIR (the Advisory Council on Latin American and Iberian Information Resources) are welcome to attend its AGM to be held on 6 July at the Instituto Cervantes, 102 Eaton Square, London SW1W 9AN. The AGM will be followed by an afternoon session on Spanish and Latin American film studies.
ACLAIIR acts as a focus for Iberian and Latin American studies in libraries and as a forum for discussion between librarians and users of Iberian and Latin American materials.

ADVISORY COUNCIL ON LATIN AMERICAN AND IBERIAN INFORMATION RESOURCES
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: Wednesday 6 July 2005

This year the Annual General Meeting of ACLAIIR will be hosted by the Instituto Cervantes. Details of how to get to the Instituto Cervantes will be sent to those who plan to attend.
The day's programme will include:
- a workshop on resources for Spanish and Latin American film studies. These will cover the BFI archive and library; Canning House and other collections of videos and DVDs; printed books collections at the University of Essex,the British Library, University of London and elsewhere;
- a talk by Prof. Stephen Hart (University College, London) on trends in research on Latin American cinema;
- a showing of La langosta azul, a short and silent black and white film, whose producers include Gabriel García Márquez.
Following a meeting for the ACLAIIR committee only at 10am, the timetable of the day is as follows:
11h30 - 13h00 AGM
13h00 - 14h15 Lunch (hosted by Canning House)
