No campaign still refuse to name donors
A low-key article in The Times this week reports that the campaign against the Constitutional Treaty
will re-launch next week. Re-branded from "Vote-No" to simply "No", the campaign group are claiming
to have raised another half a million pounds to add to the hundred of thousands they've already
spent. As ever they refuse to publish a full list of donors. In an interesting twist, the Times also
suggested that No would be an umbrella group of Vote-No, the predominately right-wing lobby group,
and The Centre for a Social Europe, the left-leaning anti-European group set up last year. Look out
for more on this next week in e-news (to subscribe, see below).
The news comes as both groups gear up for the referendum campaign. Today's Times reported that
Britain in Europe is to focus all its energies on building a broad YES campaign for the forthcoming
referendum on the Constitutional Treaty. Lucy Powell, Director of Britain in Europe, said: "There
will be only one referendum in the foreseeable future, and we want to make sure people are clear
that it is all about the Constitutional Treaty." This follows the Prime Minister's announcement
that a referendum on the euro is unlikely during this parliament.

How to Make a Contribution to the Campaign
Britain in Europe is a non-profit making organisation that does not accept funding from the
government, any political party or the European Union. Our income is generated entirely through
donations from individual supporters and pro-European businesses.
We are currently being outspent by the No campaign by a ratio of 10:1. But Britain in Europe is
positive that, with your help, things can change.
By making a donation today, however small, you will contribute towards our ongoing battle to tell
the British people the truth about Europe and make a positive case for a Yes vote in the lead up to
the referendum on the European Constitutional Treaty. We believe we can win the campaign but we
need YOUR help now.
Help us balance the debate by making a donation today.
