Thanks Kevin! I think you've got to the bottom of it. On Friday
15th the text on the link I posted (which I saved) stopped at
the pronouncement of sentence, the final paragraph being "Unless
you appeal the effect of this direction is that your name will be
erased ... ... That concludes the case.", followed by a footer
giving the contact details for the GMC Media Relations Office.
This morning the same link now starts with the same as before,
down to the same paragraph finalising the sentence, now immediately
followed by a long extra section headed "Findings of Fact delivered
Wednesday 13 July 2005" as you describe; and the "Media Relations
Office footer now follows this further section.
This extra section seems to have identical contents to the
"Findings of Fact" sent to me by Tony Greenfield as received
from the GMC Press Office in Word format (incidentally, in
both versions, there seems to be a gap in the sequence about
halfway along ... ).
So clearly the "Findings of Fact" were added as an "appendix"
since Friday 15th, probably yesterday.
Clearly I got out of sync with developments on the GMC website,
and thanks to those who have followed it up later!
Best wishes to all,
Ted.
