ODPM/ESRC PhD STUDENTSHIP - EXPLORING TRAJECTORIES OF RESIDENTIAL
SEGREGATION
This fully funded studentship, which includes a premium of £2,000 p.a.
above the standard ESRC award, is available from October 2005 in the
School of Applied Social Sciences at Durham. The successful applicant
will undertake a statistical analysis of change in residential social
segregation and factors that may be driving changes in the degree of
segregation at district level in England. The project is in
collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and
will be supervised by Professors Tim Blackman and Dave Byrne. Candidates
should possess (by October) an ESRC recognised Masters degree and have
experience of undertaking data analysis using SPSS.
