Sarah Hutchison, from the Office of the Scottish Information Commissioner and Jason Campbell, Manager of JISC Legal will be hosting an event on information issues facing the librarianship and information profession.

Jason will provide an overview of the legal issues that information professionals require to address in the managing and providing on-line information services, and assessing how the law should not necessarily become a barrier to service provision and development.
The event will provide you with the opportunity to raise specific questions on the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and areas of information technology law that may affect you and your organisation. Both Sarah and Jason are happy to take questions and to provide where possible responses on the day. To facilitate this, questions should be provided in advance sent to Chris Milne: [log in to unmask] no later that Wednesday 30th November.
