c) MultiSearch: Federated Search Platform from CSA
--------------------------------------------------

CSA and Eduserv Chest are currently negotiating for access to CSA's federated search platform: MultiSearch. Federated searching is the next generation in library services on the Web and provides a single, unified interface to multiple products resulting in better use of resources. MultiSearch delivers federated searching via a proven platform and allows seamless, full integration with the existing library resources. It also provides a powerful utility to incorporate the library resources into other areas via course management software, department and web pages.

CSA and Chest are organising a series of seminars around the country to give you an opportunity to see MultiSearch at close hand. The venues currently arranged are:

Monday 5th December (12:00 to 14:00): Glasgow Caledonian University

Tuesday 6th December (12:00 to 14:00): Leeds Metropolitan University

Wednesday 7th December (12:00 to 14:00): University of Wolverhampton
