Thank you for clarifying this. I had registered for the 1995 regs but was
unable to complete before the deadline and had been told that I would have
to now change to the 2005 regs. I was considering writing the 6000 word
report instead of the portfolio. Is this acceptable?

Hello all,
I just want to clarify this point about applying under the 1995
regulations. The last 1995 and 1991 applications were accepted in
December last year.
From now on candidates who registered up to April 2002 will need to use
the 2005 regulations.
Those who registered between April 2002 and December 2004 can continue
to use the 2002 regulations until December 2008 or they have the option
to use the new 2005 regulations.
The Chartership courses look at putting together a portfolio and this is
applicable for the two possible application types.
Good luck and best wishes
Michael

I am sure that someone from CILIP will correct me if I am wrong, but you
should be able to submit under the old regs or the new regs. I am a
failed
candidate but I can still resubmit under 1995 regs (because thats what I
registered under) or I can use the new regs.
Hope this Helps
