Hi, Easy Rider[1969] has a fascinating instance of headache
in it. The Jack Nicholson character, George, the lawyer who
wants a go at Alt. freedom has a giganic one[hangover]
overnight in gaol where he meets & joins up with the Peter
Fonda and the Dennis Hopper characters.
This is a forerunner of what happens later on; George is on
the road with the guys, There is the threatening change of
pace with the soundtrack, from the laconic 'Don't bogart
that joint' to Hendrix's 'If 6 were 9' as they cross South.
They get humiliated by rednecks in a Southern diner, not
liking their attractiveness or free lifestyle.
George ends up with an even bigger headache! He has his
head bashed in, by mystery people as the guys camp for the
night.
Alt. Cult headache. Best, Ange
