West Lothian Council Archives and Records Management Service (ARMS) is
responsible for the preservation and management of local authority
records, current and historic, and recently relocated to the new
customised Archives & Records Centre, Livingston.
Following a review of records management practices, West Lothian Council
now seeks to appoint a qualified records manager for a fixed term of 2.5
years to implement a detailed records management programme and review ERM
requirements throughout the local authority.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of partners
throughout the council. You will establish efficient and effective
policies and procedures in liaison with all Council services in accordance
with the FOI Code of Practice on Records Management.
Applications are invited from graduates who hold a relevant postgraduate
qualification and who want to develop their career and organisational
skills. You should have an awareness of current issues and legislation
and be well-organised and enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and
communication skills.
