The National Archives is to delighted to announce that it is to distribute
£200,000 worth of grants to tackle cataloguing backlogs. The new scheme,
funded by the Pilgrim Trust and the Esmée Fairburn Foundation, will be
piloted over a twelve month period in Scotland, London and the North West.
It is hoped that the programme will be very successful and be extended in
future years so that other areas across the UK will be covered.
Applications are welcome within the piloted areas from public sector bodies
(except government departments), registered charities and other not-for-
profit organisations. The deadline for applications is 6 January 2006.
See our website at http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/archives/grants.htm
for an application form and guidance on applying.
