The authors studied patients given cinacalcet twice daily. In summary
cinacalcet reduced PTH by up to 50% two to four hours post dose. Levels
increased over time up to the next dose, but did not return fully to pre-
dose levels.
This may explain the changes in levels noted in Dr. Bertholf's message, and
serves as a reminder of the need to measure analyte levels at carefully
timed intervals after drug administration,
