We use a Bayer Centaur analyser for Troponins.
We occasionally get requests to add this test or wish to test or retest
after a few days.
Does anyone have any data on Troponin stability ?
We store samples at room temperature during the working day
transferring then to a cold room for storage at the end of the day.
Currently using BD non gel vacutainer.
Bayer instructions suggest storage at 4 degrees for a maximum of 24
hrs before freezing but do not give information on any % decrease in
Troponin.
Thanks
