The considered opinions of my illustrious colleagues seems to be, that the
effect of macro CK on the assay may be a.) No effect, b.) possible
increase, or c.) possible decrease. This may seem an academic point
however, several laboratories are using the CKMB assay to rule in or out a
reinfarction where the troponin has been raised for a few days. In such
circumstances a single analysis would not ilucidate the situation.
Thanks for the replies, perhaps we need to do the experiment! David.
