Hi Ben,
Running
edg-java-security-tomcat-configure with the option '-insecure' should
remove these error messages.
edg-java-security-tomcat-configure -insecure

ln -s /opt/edg/etc/init.d/edg-tomcat4 /etc/init.d/edg-tomcat4
and then you can use chkconfig on this service.
Look in /var/log/tomcat4/catalina.out to check the service is started
correctly.
