Dear Colleague,
Netskills will be running the following two workshops at Cambridge University in January 2005:
1. Web Pages From Scratch (Tuesday 11th January)
A practical workshop for those who are users of the web and wish to
start creating and publishing their own web pages. It includes an
introduction to XHMTL (the markup language behind the web) and CSS
style sheets for formatting, using graphics, lists and tables, plus
an investigation of key design issues and the use web authoring
tools.
2. Effective Web Searching (Wednesday 12th January)
This workshop aims to provide you with the skills you need to find
quality information on the internet quickly and efficiently. While
many search services at first glance seem easy to use, many users
find them frustrating and ineffective. As well as providing an
overview of the many different search services available, this
workshop provides practical guidance in getting the most from these
services using advanced search techniques. The workshop will also
cover quality evaluation and look into current and future
developments in the use of information services and searching tools.
Full details of these workshops, together with booking forms are available from our events web-site:
