medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Does this processsion in fact mark out the boundaries of the parish?

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
In various lives of Breton saints, we can read that a king or a lord has given such surface of land the saint could walk around in one day. The best exemple can be found in the surviving paragraphs of the (lost) vita of saint Go(u)eznou we discussed about on his feast-day (25th october). There is still a procession which makes the same "tour" : this procession is known as far as the late Middle Ages.
