medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I don't have the relevant works of Augustine to hand but for a similar view
see Aquinas, Summa Theologiae, 1-2 q.101 3 ad 2 and 2-2 q.10 11c.

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
During the past few days, I've come across three quotes about prostitution
attributed to Augustine. All are similar--something along the lines
of "suppress prostitiution and capricious lusts will overthrow society"--
but none of the authors cite a source for their quotes. Can anyone on the
list tell me exactly where Augustine says this or where he discusses
prostitution?
Thanks in advance,
Clint Atchley
