I was a bit amused by the comments regarding my posting about the latest
reviews of my book.
Just as we get a weekly doses on this forum of things such as: new LIS
events, new courses, new symposia, new conferences, new exhibitions, new
services, new products, etc, just about anything that new in the LIS
world, (the list goes on..), I felt there was no harm letting acquisition
librarians know about the latest review of my book.
Of course I am enthusiastic to let U.K.acquisition librarians know about my
new book, the main reason being my book has been well received in the U.S.
and out of tiny feeling of guilt in having my book being published and being
only popular in the U.S. but not well-known in the U.K., despite my being
British and a supporter of "made in the U.K."
Well I guess am trying to hard perhaps....
Godfrey.
P.S. I used the word "hit list" as a figurative speech to mean " list of
items to checkout" as in "MTV Hit List UK" a popular programme from music
channel MTV listing the top charts. I am a regular viewer of the programme
and just "borrowed" the word "hit list"
