My Linux build went along happily until I got to here,
cd libraries/gks \
&& make>make.log && make install>>make.log
libtool: link: cannot find the library
`canon/libgks_driver_canon.la/libgks_driver_.la'
make[4]: *** [libgks_drivers.la] Error 1
make[3]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make: *** [/software/starlink_cvs/manifests/gks] Error 2
probably because the actual libtool lin looks like this,
/bin/sh ../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2
-I/software/starlink_cvs/include -L/software/starlink_cvs/lib -o
libgks_drivers.la canon/libgks_driver_canon.la/libgks_driver_.la
cgmi/libgks_driver_cgmi.la/libgks_driver_.la
cgmo/libgks_driver_cgmo.la/libgks_driver_.la
mi/libgks_driver_mi.la/libgks_driver_.la
mo/libgks_driver_mo.la/libgks_driver_.la
postscript/libgks_driver_postscript.la/libgks_driver_.la
regis/libgks_driver_regis.la/libgks_driver_.la
tek4010/libgks_driver_tek4010.la/libgks_driver_.la
wiss/libgks_driver_wiss.la/libgks_driver_.la
xwindows/libgks_driver_xwindows.la
libtool: link: cannot find the library
`canon/libgks_driver_canon.la/libgks_driver_.la'
make[1]: *** [libgks_drivers.la] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/work/starlink/classic/libraries/gks/drivers'

dastardly{aa}:
the drivers "canon/libgks_driver_canon.la" are all built and exist, I'm
not sure why libtool is appending a "/libgks_driver_.la" to every single
one however.
