National Patient Safety Agency
The NPSA is taking the national lead on improving patient safety, by encouraging
healthcare staff to report things that go wrong so that lessons can be learnt and
findings shared across the service. As part of improving patient safety, we develop innovative solutions that can prevent mistakes being repeated.
We are establishing a Department of Epidemiology and Research, led by Professor Richard Thomson, that will include a Patient Safety Observatory to bring together data and intelligence from a wide range of sources to better understand the field of patient safety, a statistics team, an R&D section and a prioritisation process. We are ready to make key appointments to this innovative Department.
Research Associate Ref: 908-117
Circa £22,000
We seek three people with research experience and a postgraduate qualification in research methods, social sciences or another relevant area to support this work.
