Hi Jean
Here in North Yorkshire we ask for parents to authorise use. A form is
filled and signed, with the statement. "I have read the Acceptable Use
Policy and Information for Parents/Guardians. I understand that access
will not be supervised by library staff." The Information leaflet
explains that Internet access is not filtered or supervised. The child
is then given a "Viewer Card" to show each time they book a session.

Dear Colleagues
What do other library authorities do about authorising children's

access?
