We too have had difficulty with non-supply of periodicals. A letter to us
from PS in April stated that there would be disruption because of the Post
Office due to "changes to the number of deliveries, varying delivery
times..."
I managed to make contact with them a few months later and in July another
letter stated that "your magazine choices are now set up directly with the
publishers and will be supplied direct to your library in future" We have
subsequently been supplied with the outstanding periodicals.
However, a more recent attempt to contact them about a renewal invitation we
received for one of the titles we should have been getting from them led me
to try to contact the Warrington number with no success. I had a mobile
number from a previous conversation and managed to get through to Ron
Hewitson on 07855 258416. I also elicited a Warrington address for the
company which is 41 Thorntree Green, Appleton Thorn, Warrington WA4 4QU.
Earlier this year we also had another reason to be concerned about this
company -(if anyone wishes more information please contact me)
As I understand it and having checked our contract, a written default notice
on the company, giving them reasonable time to "remedy the defect or
omission", would probably have to be sent before terminating the contract
