Certainly it has created a drop in demand for maps created by the
cartographer (me). As map librarian and like most other map
librarians, I am in a long process of rationalising the collection at
UCW thus reducing the number of paper map teaching sets but expanding
other collections such as a wider local large scale map collection
and a wider geology collection. There are some maps digimap can
provide but not others, so it's swings and roundabouts really, just a
question of re-organisation if only to keep the library open and
useful. Just wish my cartographic skills were in more demand!!
