> Hello,
>
> On the 13th November 2004, TSG are hosting their first Post-Graduate
> 'Research in Progress' Meeting, at the Dept. of Geology, University of
> Leicester.
>
> We will host a day of talks, posters and informal discussion based around
> current research by post-graduates in ALL fields related to Tectonics;
> including tectono-physics, geodesy, structural geology, micro-deformation,
> and mineral deposit studies. The more diverse the population, the more
> interesting the day will be.
>
> We intend this meeting to be a less formal environment than the TSG Annual
> Conference, and to be an ideal place for students to meet and casually
> discuss their own work with each other. We encourage students of all stages
> (4th-year U/G, MSc. and PhD.) to attend; this meeting will be an ideal venue
> for new and perspective PhD students to find out what all the fuss is about.
>
> The day will finish with a career-related discussion led by Steve Jolley
> (Shell & TSG Industry Rep.).
>
> We plan to meet for a meal and drinks on Friday 12th, before experiencing the
> delights of an evening out in Leicester city-centre, enabling people to get
> to know each other before the meeting kicks off the next day.
>
> Please consider attending this meeting, or pass on this email to people who
> might be interested.
>
> Further details will be posted/emailed in the near future. For information
> now, please email me: [log in to unmask]
