I don't believe anyone has done this recently, which is why I've gone
back to a fresh checkout (admittedly on the Mac). If we're actually going
to open up the cvs archive, you really should be able to build the
software inthe way the instructions tell you to. Currently, this doesn't
look like it's the case.

I was presuming that we still had serious tcl problems, haven't got that
far yet (make world is ticking along though the early libraries for me at
the moment)...

I'm betting it's everyone. PGPLOT will also probably cause problems...
Are we really going to release a CD from this in October? If so I think
we've got a job of work on our hands.
