The Late Abstracts information (http://adass.ipac.caltech.edu/abstracts.html)
doesn't suggest the deadline is totally set in stone:
Abstracts submitted after the deadline will still be considered for
the program, but only on a space-available basis. Also, abstracts
submitted after the deadline cannot be assured of consideration for
oral presentation.
so if you talk to the organisers it's probably possible to switch
authorship of the autoconf paper and might be possible to slip in
a new one in Tim's name (if it's not too disruptive to the two of
you to do this now).
