Norman,
trying to do this, I updated everything and tried to run a top-level
./bootstrap --builsupport, but this fails as follows:
cd thirdparty/fsf/libtool \
&& if test -n "$BUILDSUPPORT_PREFIX"; then \
./configure --prefix=$BUILDSUPPORT_PREFIX \
>configure-output.log; \
elif test ! -f Makefile; then \
{ t="Directory unconfigured but BUILDSUPPORT_PREFIX undefined";\
echo $t >configure-output.log; echo $t >&2; \
exit 1; }; \
else \
echo "No configuration necessary" >configure-output.log; \
fi \
&& make>make.log && make install>>make.log
WARNING: `makeinfo' is missing on your system. You should only need it if
you modified a `.texi' or `.texinfo' file, or any other file
indirectly affecting the aspect of the manual. The spurious
call might also be the consequence of using a buggy `make' (AIX,
DU, IRIX). You might want to install the `Texinfo' package or
the `GNU make' package. Grab either from any GNU archive site.
