I know it isn't strictly religion, but can anyone identify this lady more
closely ?
Henry II was not son but grandson of Henry I, of course
Is this the Empress Matilda, the "Lady of the English" who was Henry II's
mother and Henry I's daughter?
Or is it one of Henry I's bastard daughters ?
Matilda also called Mahaude wife of Conan of Brittany ?
or
Matilda also called Constance, wife of Richard , Viscount of
Beaumont-le-Maine
or Matilda Abbess of Montvilliers
