the Transfiguration [inaugurated or deeply venerated at Cluny under the impetus of Peter the Venerable, I think - MG]
Justus and Pastor (d. c. 304) Two brothers, aged thirteen and nine, were flogged and then beheaded at Alcala (Roman Complutum) during Diocletian's persecution. They are the patrons of Alcala and Madrid.
Hormisdas (d. 523) Hormisdas became pope in 514. He succeeded in ending the Acacian schism that had divided the eastern and western churches since 484. His son Silverius later became pope, too.
the martyrs of Cardena (8th cent.) A group of monks of Burgos (supposedly 200 of them), killed by invading Muslims. Their cult was confirmed in 1603.
