Re. learning object repositories type - I could think of distinct terms
such as "assessment objects", "questions bank", "lesson plans bank",
learning objectives bank" etc. We currently have a need for such a
definition, see for a very raw attempt:

Similar to resource type definition, this would be difficult, e.g. is a
bibliographic database a learning objective repository? Since it is
feasible to reuse, derive bibliographic metadata for e-learning
purposes, for example, adding annotations and organising reading list..
