Yes, I was wondering along similar lines... and about, dare I say it, what
the definition of a repository is!?! In the eprints world, I think it is
fair to say that an eprint archive isn't really an eprint archive unless
it exposes metadata about the eprints it contains via the OAI-PMH.
(Well... I'm sure that some people would jump up and down and tell me I'm
wrong - but I think there is fairly widespread acceptance that what I'm
suggesting here is correct).
In the eLearning world, is it generally accepted that a learning object
repository isn't really a learning object repository unless it supports
the IMS DRI specification (at least in part)?
I'd be interested to know how many of the listed repositories can export
LOM records using the OAI-PMH for example.
