Dear All,
Greetings from the University town of Cambridge.
The CMAJ has launched a series on "Tips for learning & Teaching EBM" and the
first article appears in to day's CMAJ. The good news is CMAJ offers free
full text access. You can access the first article @
http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/full/171/4/353
and the accompanying commentary @
http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/full/171/4/347
According to the authors this what we (the readers) can expect:
"The articles in this series cover a broad range of concepts, from
estimating risk, estimating precision and understanding estimates of
interrater reliability to the impact of heterogeneity on systematic reviews.
We believe that clinicians will find the learners' versions useful as quick
reference guides. EBM teachers will enjoy the scripted versions of the
teaching tips and the online teaching tools that will be available to them".
I am sure you will join me in thanking the CMAJ for this useful initiative
(and for offering free access to this resource!)
Hope the above is of some interest.
Warm regards & very best wishes,
Badri
Conflict of interest: I am a strong supporter & advocate of free access
publishing and have published a few letters in the CMAJ.
