Since mid 2003 Goad shopping centre maps have shown additional Ordnance
Survey derived detail for the areas surrounding the shopping centres
covered. This brings to the forefront the question of how much of each map
can be copied under fair dealing provisions for non-commercial research or
private study. Information from Experian-Goad is that whole maps can be
copied, provided this is done in sections of A4 size, but to avoid
infringing O.S. copyright it would appear necessary to restrict copying to
one A4 extract only from each Goad map. I would welcome any comments or
opinions, especially with regard to the position in public libraries.
