According to our Regional Development Officer - you will be allowed to
register students up to one month after enrolling. But as you say it
will mean that instead of doing one file you have to do several and also
increase the risk of 'missing' candidates. I have registered our
dissatisfaction with Wendy Suthurst, as I feel we need to know the
rational behind the decision to move the closing date and the reason why
we were not included in the consultation process - that is of course if
they had one.

I have been advised to contact our Regional Development Officer
regarding the change in dates.
If everyone did the same it may cause a rethink at Edexcel.
Our main difficulty is HND students not enrolling until the very end of
September giving no time to chase enrolments or errors.
Is anyone aware whether the one month rule applies in this case, if
students start after 14th September surly we don't have to make entries
by 14th October. If this is the case this means additional EDI files
been sent rather than one large file. I wouldn't have thought Edexcel
would have wanted additional files.

Edexcel have not explained why they have brought the registration date
forward to 14th October. I will be sending a letter of complaint - will
anyone else?

Yvonne,
It was slipped into one of those Quality updates that you never
really get
time to read especially at this time of year.
