Hello. I just got a call from a 3rd year medical student, going onto her 4th year. Her university requires her to have a certificate of completion for a course on Evidence Based Medicine. She told me that the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain offers a 1 week intensive course, from 7AM to 6PM on EBM, and some of the invited lecturers are from out of the country. Also, some of the lecturers are librarians. :)
Here's her request, she's in the US now for her 3rd year and wants to take a similar EBM course that offers a certificate of completion before she heads back to Bahrain for her 4th year. Does anyone know of any such intensive courses, online or in person for residents &/or physicians?
Does anyone know if this will be a common requirement for residents & physicians?
I will summarize to the lists. Please feel free to pass this along to others.
Thank you all for your help,
Tanya
