thanks, George.
i haven't been there in a while, but now see some coverage on the up-comming
conference on Abbo of Fleury, held at Orleans and Fleury, 10-12 June :
http://www.irht.cnrs.fr/actualites/coloque_abbon.htm
complete with the conference programme

(— Jean-Louis Alexandre, Les reliures : les vestiges de la bibliothèque de
Saint-Benoît au temps d’Abbon. goodness, 10th century bindings survive?)
and a nice .jpg of Abbo's famous portrait

this confab looks like it will be a significant event and i'd be happy to be
the Official List Representative there, as soon as i get air fare in email
attachments from list members. (i've got friends in Orleans, so don't need
more than a modest food stipend in addition to the air fare.)
otOh, it seems like 1 October 2004 to 1 February 2006 is not nearly enough
time for these "traveaux".
