What he actally said, in his Nosce Teipsum, was that those who killed
Christ did not necessarily sin by doing so; they would have committed a
worse sin, if they had believed him to be guilty and let him off, going
against their conscience. He does not mention Judas, nor does he name
the Jews as those who killed Christ. All of which seems to me to count
for quite a bit.
