medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear medieval-religion colleagues,
1) Allowing for occasional meanderings, please do nonetheless keep in mind that the purpose of the list is to discuss *medieval* (understood broadly from late antiquity to the early modern period, inclusive) religion and culture.
2) If anyone has things to say about non-Christian aspects of medieval religion and culture, please do! From time to time, someone (as was the case earlier today) tells me that they've left the list because, as specialists in Judaism or Islam, they found little of interest with our list. I do know such actions are the result of a 'chicken and egg' situation, but I do think all of us benefit from the active presence of generous scholars interested in areas outside of Christianity.
Best wishes, George
