Please respond to
"Cross, Lucy"
Luton Central Library has been open on Sundays for 2 years now, and two of
our branches opened on Sundays April 2003. At present we have a mixture of
staff working on Sundays. All new staff who have joined the authority are
contracted to work 1 Sunday in 4. We also have some contracts that are for
Sundays/weekends only, and we also rely on volunteers. We are looking at
the
way we staff libraries on Sundays, how many and what grade, and also
looking
into the possibility of changing all existing staff contracts to include 1
Sunday in 4. We would be grateful for any information on how other
authorities have tackled this, levels of staff on duty and anything else
you
think might be important!
I will summarise for the list
Thanks in advance
