This is a fantastic website. Content is great and I love the Blind Date
section. I wonder if it is possible for other library authorities to tap
into this area and make their branches available for "meeting blind dates".
Good idea giving a synopsis of the books in the What's New section and other
areas such as the travel section etc. Congratulations to those concerned
this is eyecatching, and inspired! Now to get the young people to look at
it!

Hello!
I just wanted to draw your attention to a brilliant new readers website.
The East Midlands Reader and Library Development(EMRALD) project and Opening
the Book have created a fantastic new reader's website called
www.whatareyouuptotonight.com This website is aimed at readers aged between
16-24.
The site matches the lifestyle, social habits and interests of young people
with a wide choice of library media, including books, CDs and DVDs and web
material.
The site is split into 2 sections; staying in and going out. The aim of the
staying in section is to give people inspiration on what to read/listen
to/watch while you are at home either alone or with mates. While the gping
out section gives people information on travelling ie what to read/listen to
while commuting to work/college, information on travelling in different
countries, advice on taking gap years and ideas for short breaks etc.
The blind date is the most exciting option on the site but alas is only
available in the East Midlands at the moment but it is still worth a try!
Please, please have a go and then spread the word...and any feedback would
be great too!
Thanks for your time,
Catherine Howard
