Based Practice
The aim of the day is to enhance participants' training skills in evidence
based practice and patient and public involvement using new CASP and Patient
& Public Involvement (PPI) workshops and materials. It will include a
series of interactive workshop sessions exploring different methods and
areas of learning. Details of each session are as follows:
e-learning
Take a tour of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP), a multi-media CD-ROM and
workbook new from CASP. discuss how this resource could be used in your
organisations' learning initiatives to supplement your work.
Patient & Public Involvement in Research:
An introduction to PHRU's work to support this important area for
involvement
CASPuk Calling all 'CASPers'
This session is aimed at people already involved in planning the
implementation of, or facilitating, CASP-type training within their
organisation, profession or locality. If you are involved in running these
sessions we would like to invite you to discuss the benefits of such a
collaboration and become a member of CASPuk
Developments in training and support for Patient and Public Involvement:
Part 1: Where are we now?
Updates on PHRU work, and participatory session on their applications.
Management of Change
A interactive workshop that will cover putting evidence into practice
through understanding the psychology of change and change management
processes.
Developments in training and support for Patient & Public Involvement: Part
2 - Where Next?
Participatory session considering recent approaches to PPI support, and
their applications
Gov! Game
Your chance to play the Gov! Board game. Gov! is a tool to get groups
talking and thinking about the principles of clinical governance.
If you wish to attend there will be a delegate rate of £100.00 (one hundred)
per person. This will include all materials, refreshments and a 2 course
lunch.
