**Two jobs in the Institute of Geography at the University of Edinburgh**
Lectureship in Quantitative Human Geography

You will have specialist expertise in one or more field within the broad
range of human geography quantitative methods, including for example,
spatial statistics, GIS, geodemographics, economic modelling, locational
analysis, and multi-level modelling. Your research will interface with
existing strengths in the Human Geography Research Group, which include
geographies of identity, geographies of policy and development, and
geographies of knowledge. In addition you will contribute to
undergraduate teaching and to delivering our commitment to provide an
ESRC-recognised research training programme (1+3 model) based on the MSc
in GIS.
Salary Range: £22,191 - £25,451 or £26,270 - £33,679 (under review)

Temporary Lectureship in Human Geography
Vacancy Reference No 3001604
You will contribute to current research efforts in human geography and
to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching according to your substantive
and methodological expertise. This temporary position has arisen because
of successful grant applications by existing staff, which include
provision for teaching replacement. Expertise in development and
society, development and environment and/or area studies would be
preferred. Although this post is limited to two years, it may be
extended for a third year if funds permit.
Fixed Term: Two years in the first instance
Salary Scale: £22,191 - £25,451 p.a. (under review)
