Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Greetings all!
Does anyone know of scholarly treatments of the cult of St. James -
including, of course,
the famous pilgrimage, but there must be more to be said about him as
well. Of particular
interest is the transformation or alternation of his image as apostle,
pilgrim, and moor-slayer.
Thanks in advance,
Meg
I have a parishioner who specialises in this very subject - I will give
her a copy of your posting. Meanwhile I wonder if you know "The
Miracles of the Hand of St James" by Brian Kemp, Berkshire
Archaeological Journal, Vol. 65 pages 1-19.
