Competition for attendance at the International Forum on the Constitutional
Justice
The Institute of law and Public Policy is pleased to announce an
international competition for articles written by young researchers (under
35 year old) and graduate students.
Topic:
Papers are sought on the topic “Political rights and free elections”.
The participants may choose more specific subjects in the framework of this
topic.
Requirements for the article:
To participate in the competition, one should submit an article of about 10
pages (20 000 characters) in English or Russian.
The article should be submitted by e-mail to the address: [log in to unmask] by
August 1, 2004.
The bibliography and references to the sources of information are
obligatory.
Only the papers accompanied by the participant’s Curriculum vitae will be
considered.
Evaluation criteria:
The articles submitted will be evaluated on the basis of the following
criteria:
- thoroughness of the analysis;
- convincingness of the arguments;
- logic and validity of the conclusions;
- novelty of the observations, approach and/or content;
- independence of the research.
Rules of the competition:
The papers will be evaluated by the international Jury of the Russian and
foreign experts of the Institute of Law and Public Policy.One winner will be
selected.
The winner will be invited to attend the 7th International Forum on
Constitutional Justice to be held in Moscow on October 22-23, 2004. The
travel and lodging expenses will be covered by the Institute. The winner’s
paper will be presented to the participants of the Forum that will discuss
the theme: “Political rights and free elections”.
The paper will be published in the journal “Comparative Constitutional
Review” (currently, till July 2004, “Konstituzionnoe pravo:
vostochnoevropejskoe obozrenie”).
