We've just advertised the MAMS positions, so I'd appreciate you
circulating this to any lists that seem appropriate - like CETIS
Enteprise (please cc: me for my records). There are several positions: 1
programme manager, 1 project manager, 6 x Research
Co-ordinator/Programmer (the position below - either as academic or
general staff depending on background), and an admin position. Would you
mind posting the text below to appropriate lists? (you'll see I've just
including the text of the academic version of the position below, and
then a link to where to find out more below it and the other positions,
rather than including info on all positions).

Best wishes,

James

*MACQUARIE E-LEARNING CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
(MELCOE) - Sydney, Australia
*
The MAMS project is a $4M+ DEST-funded research project run by the
Macquarie E-learning Centre of Excellence (MELCOE), in association with
a wide range of Australian and international universities and commercial
vendors. The project will conduct leading-edge R&D for the integration
of multiple solutions to managing authentication, authorisation and
identities, together with common services for digital rights, search
services and metadata management. The project provides an essential
'middleware' component to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of
Australia's higher education research infrastructure. It will develop a
new conceptual architecture which is capable of supporting multiple,
independent models of distributed/federated access and identity
management within a unified overarching framework (a "meta access
management system" or "MAMS"), which is implemented locally within
organisations, but with the potential for inter-institutional
communication.

Currently advertised positions include an overall Programme Manager, a
Project Manager, several Research Co-ordinator/Programmer positions (for
experts from both academic and non academic backgrounds) and an
Administrative Officer. The text of the Research Co-ordaintor/Programmer
position (academic version) is lsited below. Further details about all
positions can be found at:
http://www.melcoe.mq.edu.au/positions.htm
